Join us on a snowshoe hike in the mountains along the fjord outside Narvik, with a view of the Arctic winter landscape. Along the way, you get to use snowshoes, learn more about the area and end the trip with lunch by the fire.
The trip takes you out of Narvik and into a mountainous area along the fjord, where snowshoes provide a natural way to move through the winter landscape. Before the trip starts, you will get an introduction to how the snowshoes are used, before you go uphill with a view of the mountains and the fjord along the way.
Nature is at the center throughout the experience. The landscape around Narvik offers clear contrasts between fjords, snow-capped mountains and open winter terrain, and sometimes it can also be possible to see wildlife on the way.
At the end of the trip, the group gathers around the campfire for a simple winter picnic. It serves sausages, waffles, homemade cake and hot drinks.
The guide also shares stories and knowledge about Norwegian culture and the area around Narvik, with time for questions and conversation.
