The boat-house cottages are of a high standard and lie in a good harbour adjacent to a private sand beach on a fruit farm in Ryfylke.
Many fine walks on marked tracks (maps available). Preikestolen can be reached by approx. 1 hour's drive. They also have maps which locate good fishing spots for both the sea and fresh water. Fishing in sea water is free for everyone, while fishing in fresh water requires Fishing licence. You can pick mushrooms and berries in the summer/autumn. On the farm lies an old Viking Age burial mound (500 - 1000 AD).
