Valle
This summit hike goes directly from central Valle to Mt. Valefjell (1,162 m).
After around 3 kilometres you pass Mt. Kreklingberg (900 m) and may enjoy the view of Valle and Mt. Nomelandsfjellet. From Mt. Valefjell you get a spectacular view of the western and eastern hills of Setesdal. On clear days, you see the mountain Gaustatoppen, at a distance of 100 kilometres. The path has a total ascent of 800 metres and takes a physical toll, but there are no difficult sections. Mt. Valefjell is a good starting point for mountain hikes. To the north, there is a marked “panoramic trail” (approx. 2 km / 1 hour) to the Bispevegen path. To the south, there is a marked trail past “Varden” to Mt. Ljomsnuten (1,268 m), the highest peak in the mountains east of Valle.
