2- day tour to Balestrand and Fjærland

This Cidery Taste and Tour with Glacier Tours will take you to Balestrand and Glacier village of Fjærland. The tour is a is a 2 days tour starting from Voss and includes all transport, hotel, meals, Cider tasting and entrance fees.

This guided cider tour takes you to the charming family-run cider house Baholm in Balestrand. You will learn about and taste high-quality cider, fruit wines, and fruit brandy. The accommodation will be at the famous "Kviknes" Hotel in Balestrand.

The trip starts with a minibus from Voss, we continue towards Vik over Vikafjellet, and on the descent from Vikafjellet to Vik, the bus stops at the viewpoint "Storesvingen" for a beautiful view towards Vik.
From the beautiful viewpoint, we drive down to the village Vik which has a rich cultural heritage. The main attraction in Vik is the richly decorated stave church "Hopperstad Stave Church".

From the church, we take a short drive to the harbor in Vik where the trip continues by boat to Balestrand. The fjord cruise lasts for approx. 30 minutes and the ticket is included.
Upon arrival in Balestrand, there will be lunch at Sognefjord Aquarium. Lunch is included in the ticket and one is transported back to the hotel after lunch.

The trip continues on day 2 and at 12:05 from Balestrand with MV Fjord Lady. At the very end of the Fjærlandsfjord we come to the charming village of Fjærland. The village is perfect for exploring on foot and until 1986 it was only possible to get to the village by boat. You can choose to explore the village on your own or join a guided tour of the glacier and the Norwegian Glacier Museum. Here we have two hours available in Fjærland.

After we have visited the Norwegian Glacier Museum, the bus continues up to Bøyabreen glacier - an arm of the Jostedalsbreen glacier.
The bus then returns to Fjærland quay. Here you take the same boat back to Vik. From Vik continue the trip by bus to the spectacular Tvindefossen.

All transport (bus and boat) is included, as well as all guided tours and entrances to all attractions we visit. Lunch, dinner, and cider tasting are also included in the ticket.
