Product description
The professional guide will pick you up outside the Stavanger tourist information at 8 am. From there, you are driven by car to the pier at Lauvvik, 45 minutes. Get ready for a picturesque fjord cruise. Lysefjorden, in Forsand, is 42 kilometers long and 422 meters deep. Sailing along the fjord by tourist ferry, you will marvel at Preikestolen, the dramatic rock plateau that stands out 604 meters above the Lysefjord and is ranked as one of Norway's most popular natural tourist attractions. Tom Cruise was here in November 2017 filming Mission Impossible 6, and from the ferry you will see Preikestolen from the fjord.

Arriving Flørli - climbing the stairs
When arriving Flørli, take a breath, fill your lungs with fresh air and get ready for the climb. Start out carefully, it is a long way to the top. If you can't manage to reach the top, you can step off the stairs in several places. There are always two guides on the tour, and one of them will take you back to the Flørli village. Normally it takes 3-4 hours to reach the top. Along the stairs there are several platforms to rest, drink some water, sit down and have a pit stop. Maybe the cafe is open?

Reach the top - and the return
The scenery on the top of the stairs is amazing and breathtaking. From the top, you will have a panoramic view to the fjord. When the group has reach the top, you will continue the hike on a gravel road for one hour. Along the gravel road you will pass by ice blue water and maybe some snow? You are in the Norwegian mountains now, be sure to bring extra clothes and put more layers on if you are cold. The return back to the village Flørli, is a bit challenging. The track leads you over small rivers, you have to jump from stone to stone, so be sure to keep your balance. The valley before entering the forest is beautiful, and the transition to the forest is significant. The path through the forest is challenging and steep, watch your step.

Congratulations, you have climbed 4,444 steps, and hiked through a "jungle"! Take a rest, you deserve it. Get ready for dinner.

A high speed vessel will pick you up at 6 pm and bring the group back to Lauvvik pier at 6:50 pm. Estimated arrival time in Stavanger will be 8 pm.
