Explore the mountains around Lillehammer on gentle hikes and learn about plants, wildlife & the region's history. Accessible by public transport.

The mountains are closer than you think. Not far from Lillehammer you can find rounded peaks that offer wide, sweeping views all the way to Rondane and Jotunheimen. The landscape here has been shaped by centuries of summer farming and you’ll still meet grazing sheep with their lambs to this day.

On our guided Mountain Hikes we want to introduce you to Norwegian “friluftsliv”: it’s not about the pace or performance, but about enjoying being outdoors. We’ll take you to our favorite peaks, trails and lakes in the mountains close to Lillehammer. Along the way you will learn about the local plant and wildlife & the region’s history. And of course we always plan enough time for a break and some snacks – because that’s often the best part of a hike.
