The charming farm Gøysa Gard is perfectly located in the small village of Forsand, with a stunning view over Lysefjorden and the surrounding mountains. With its central location, Gøysa Gard is the perfect place to stay while exploring Lysefjorden and the Stavanger region.
At Gøysa Gard, we can accommodate up to 21 guests in three separate units: The Farmhouse - 8 persons The Old Farmhouse - 8 persons The Apartment - 5 persons Surrounding the house is a charming garden with several seating areas for relaxation, in addition to a larger common area equipped with benches and grills.
Gøysa Gard is run by three local families who lives close by, and who has the knowledge and dedication to make sure you will have a comfortable and eventful stay. They are happy to assist you, and attend to your needs during your stay whether it is tips for hikes, booking of activities or any other requests.
Gøysa Gard is located centrally in Forsand. From the farm there is a path down to the fjord, which is only 150 meters away. There are two grocery stores by the fjord and within 10 minutes' walk.
"The Pink Ferry Dock" is also within 10 minutes' walk. From this dock there are public transportation by both bus and boat taking you in the fjord, to Preikestolen, Jørpeland and to Stavanger.
Whether you are planning to explore Preikestolen/Pulpit Rock, Kjerag, Flørli or simply to enjoy the raw Norwegian nature, Gøysa Gard is the perfect place to stay.
At Gøysa Gard, they offer bike rental and guided bike tours. You can choose between our electrical bikes which can take you to the far ends of our beautiful area, or our traditional bikes if you want some more exercise or just a little tour around in the neighborhood.
Biking around Forsand and the surrounding areas is one of the most sustainable way of exploring stunning Norwegian nature. There are mile after mile with small cozy roads taking you up the valley, along the fjord and on roundtrips between mountains, waterfalls and lakes.
Gøysa Gard is an Eco-Lighthouse (Miljøfyrtårn) certified business, which means that we focus on sustainable tourism and to leave as little an environmental footprint in our nature as possible.
It is also possible for bigger groups to rent the whole farm for conferences, teambuilding, courses and other social events.
