Visit one of the largest battleship-cannons put on land in Europe during the second World War. With its four guns it became the largest and most powerful battery along the 5000 km long Atlantic Wall, and today these cannons are the only ones still intact and possible to visit.
Visit Harstad offers two daily tours together with Hålogaland Veteranbussforening in the period from June 18th till August 18th.
The tours starts in Harstad city centre on board the old bus X35, which is familiar to most locals, but it is also possible to board the bus by the original gate at Trondenes. At the meeting point in Trondenes it is possible to park for free. Follow the signs to Adolfkanonen, and the parking is clearly marked.
