The name "Allmuen" is not random. "Allmuen" is an old Scandinavian word meaning "The Common People". We strive to combine local produce with global flavours and culinary traditions.
We hope that this philosophy - combined with an accessible concept and reasonable prices - will lead to more people getting to experience exciting food.
Our menu changes daily, according to the seasonal availabilty of quality produce. Another reason for keeping an ever-changing menu is that it creates room for more creativity in the kitchen.
Even though the menu is always changing, you’ll always find meat, fish and vegetarian alternatives on the menu of the day.
And – at Allmuen it’s not either-or. “Åpen Mat” - “Open Food” - is our most popular concept. “Open Food” is the Allmuen take on a tasting menu. We serve you a unique combination of various dishes, and do our best to turn a meal to a feast.
At night, the bar is a lively gathering point for locals, who come to enjoy live music and other exciting events – especially during the weekends.
