Almosetern mountainfarm cabin

Discover Almoseteren, a Haven at the foot of Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park in Snåsa Municipality. Serene Storåselva river meanders gently through the area, and several pristine trout fishing lakes are within easy reach.

For nearly a century, the "Tourist" house at Almoseteren has served as a rental retreat and a base for hunting, fishing, and outdoor adventures. The diverse terrain invites exploration, with Andortoppen (847 meters above sea level) as a nearby summit worth conquering. The trail is well-marked and conveniently begins right at Almoseteren. Whether you prefer hiking boots, a fishing rod, or a berry-picking bucket, there's something here for everyone, young and old alike.

Cabin Details:
The cabin accommodates up to 10 people across its 5 bedrooms, covering a total area of 60 m2. You'll find a gas stove with an oven for cooking, ample food storage space, and a cellar beneath the cabin. The cabin is equipped with a wood-burning stove, a generator for lighting, a vacuum cleaner, a waffle iron, and more. Don't forget to bring your own unleaded gasoline (95 octane). Water can be sourced from the river or a nearby well. There are two outdoor privies, but shower facilities are not available. Please bring your own bed sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers, or opt for a sleeping bag or liner. Almoseteren warmly welcomes pets.

Directions:
Follow Fv763 to Snåsa town center, then proceed toward Agle and onwards to Skromoen, following the national park signs to Storåsen. The toll fee for Storåsevegen is 120 NOK, payable in cash or via Vipps. After reaching Skromoen, continue for 8 km until you spot the Almosetern sign on the left side of the road.

About Us:
Almoseteren is an integral part of the Almo Nordre family farm in Snåsa, boasting a rich tradition of tourism. The farm engages in deer farming, gravel extraction, power generation, and more. Additionally, we offer rentals for both big and small game hunting in the surrounding area. Our private land borders state-owned land on both sides of the river, providing an excellent setting for grouse and forest bird hunting.
