RiverNorth´s most popular excursion is the Half-Day Rafting Adventure. You get to challenge big waves – and see if you’re brave enough to dive from a cliff! You can also join a full-day rafting trip.
Join a half‑day rafting trip on the Auster‑Vefsna River. This is one of Norway’s most exciting rivers, with a strong sense of wilderness. It flows through narrow gorges and open stretches from Hattfjelldal to Trofors, and depending on the water level, different sections are rafted throughout the season. Since participants wear waterproof gear the whole time, rafting here works well in any weather, and on rainy days the trip feels a bit wilder and more dramatic.
The minimum age for participation is 14 years, and the activity takes about 3.5 hours from the time you put on your wetsuit until you’re changed and ready for new adventures afterward. Wet suits, helmets, and life jackets are provided as part of the tour. The river water is cold, so bring wool underwear, thin wool socks, shoes that can get wet, and towels for changing after the trip.
Full-day rafting
Experience an unforgettable day on the river with RiverNorth, where you will get a full rafting experience on the Austervefsna River, surrounded by untouched wilderness. Halfway through the trip, we will stop at a sheltered riverbank, where we will light a fire and serve a hot lunch and freshly brewed cowboy coffee. After the break, the trip continues with a mix of exciting rapids and calm sections, so you can enjoy the fantastic nature of the spectacular gorge.
