Arctic Route Tromsø - Senja - Vesterålen - Lofoten - Tromsø

In summer 2024, travel by bus and ferry between the Capital of the Arctic Tromsø, Senja, Andøya, Vesterålen and the towns of Svolvær and Kabelvåg in Lofoten.

On the Tromsø – Lofoten – Tromsø route, you can travel in a large area, spreading out between Tromsø, Senja, Vesterålen and Lofoten, by bus and ferry. The buses are operated by the Arctic Route (part of Best Arctic) and the ferries are public (the ferry ticket is included on your ticket).

Some ideas on how to travel along this route as a trips tour from Tromsø:

  • Go for a hiking day on Senja. Hop off at stop 'Mefjord Brygge', a hiking paradise. (12 hours)
  • Go for a sightseeing tour, including 1 ferry and photoshops along the magical island of Senja (12 hours)

Some ideas on how to travel along this route as a trips tour from Svolvær

  • Make your way to Andenes, including 1 ferry, for a whale-watching tour (14 hours)
  • Go to Hadseløya island in Vesterålen, including 1 ferry, for a wonderful hiking day (14 hours)

With the travel passes, you can hop on/off on this route (as well as on the route Narvik – Å (Lofoten) – Narvik, using the same travel pass) as many times as you wish.

Baggage: Each passenger may bring one item of easy-to-manage hand baggage, which must fit under the seas or in the overhead rack, as well as one item no larger than height + length + width = 200 cm/23 kg. If you have special luggage, contact us for a request via info@bestarctic.com.

Important: on the included ferry between Gryllefjord - Andenes the hop-on/hop-off bus is not driving on the ferry. You walk on the ferry yourself with your luggage and another red Arctic Route bus is waiting for you at the other side.
