The trip is around 80 km long and approximately 4500 meters altitude difference totally. The trip is demanding and requires fairly nice weather with little wind and good visibility. It might be necessary to use crampons and iceaxe at some passages. In order to keep the weight as low as possible we sleep in snow caves to save the weight of the tents, and snowcaves are warmer. We meet for a briefing an packing of backpacks at 19.00 at Lægreid Hotel the day before departure, meeting again outside the hotel the very next morning at 06.00 for an unforgettable trip.
