The Norwegian Cartoonist Gallery is part of a consolidated network of museums in the Greater Oslo area
The Norwegian Cartoonist Gallery is part of a consolidated network of museums in the Greater Oslo area. Founded in 1999, we show illustrations, drawings, comics and political & satirical cartoons. We also house a permanent exhibition of the iconic Norwegian humorist and cartoonist Fredrik Stabel.
One of our missions is to promote cartoons as a worthy art form, and we sell both originals and limited edition prints. We also sell a range of other graphic works.
There is a bookshop of illustrated books, graphic novels and cartoons for adults and children, as well as art supplies and some souvenirs.
We start every year with an exhibition of the best cartoons published the previous year in Norwegian newspapers and weekend supplements. During summer, we typically house a large group sales exhibition, as well as a historical exhibition.
