Fashioned from a 1900 landmark stone building, this historical treasure has been beautifully restored into a luxury boutique hotel of the highest caliber with 52 elegant rooms. The old bank building has been fully renovated while carefully preserving its historical architecture.
The building's history dates back to 1868 when Haugesund Sparebank opened its doors on Stranggates 161. Over the years, the savings bank grew in size and required larger premises. Rahn and Glosimodt, two architects from Kristiania (Oslo's old name), won the architectural competition. The building process took three and a half years and was completed on the 29th of December 1919.
An oasis of modern elegance, the hotel and its attentive staff provide a unique service experience to leisure and business travelers. Renowned for its delicious breakfast, our signature style of unique hospitality and value is unmatched.
Our hotel offers 52 elegant rooms in the following categories: Single, Superior Single, Double, Superior double, Twin, Junior Suite and Suite. They all express a subtle and elegant combination of old and modern comfort.
