Baroniet Rosendal Avlsgård & Fruehus
Rosendal Avlsgard & Fruehuset is part of Baroniet Rosendal Manor House & Gardens. The accommodation is just outside the park which surrounds the Manor.
The accommodation is located just outside Rosendal Garden, which surrounds Norway's only barony.
A simple yet comfortable place to stay, open seasonally from May to September. It features 24 rooms with a total of 40 beds.
The estate farm was built around 1850 by estate owner Marcus Gerhard Hoff Rosenkrone. In addition to raising sheep and fjord horses, he also ran a school for children in the village.
The estate farm, along with the "Fruehuset" located 300 meters below, was restored in 1992. Today, it offers accommodation and breakfast in romantic surroundings. Showers and toilets are located in shared facilities on the hallway. Breakfast is served in the atmospheric "Storakjøkenet" (Large Kitchen) at the estate farm. On select days, dinner is available in the "Ridderstuen" by prior reservation.
