Fastland Friluftsbad
This open air pool is the town's favourite. Here you will find a diving tower, paddling pool, beach volleyball pitch, barbecues, playground, fast food restaurant, great parking facilities and a skateboard ramp.
The park is free, open to everybody and located in the centre of Gjøvik.

There are also many fine beaches along the shores of lake Mjøsa that are suitable for bathing, e.g. Rambekkvika, Bråstadvika, Fredvika near Gjøvik.

3 km north of Gjøvik is Glomstadbukta naturist beach, which has a marina, barbecue area and petanque.

In addition, there are numerous small ponds and tarns suitable for bathing. We recommend Skumsjøen at Vardalsåsen. Here you will find Osbakken Cafe. Glæstadtjernet in Åslendet and Abbortjern in Snertingdal are also great for a refreshing dip on a warm summer's day.

Møllerstufossen, located 10 km west of Dokka by road RV33, is a water paradise with small rapids, natural waterfalls, ponds and polished rocks. It has toilets, benches, tables, lawns and is close to the rock carving area.

Pay a visit to Holetjernet, which lies south of Bøverbru. Here you will find a bathing place with a beach volleyball pitch, changing rooms, barbecue area, a separate area for campfires, and good parking facilities.

Engenstranda on the Einavannet lake, located next to Engenstranda Camping, is a popular and attractive bathing place in the summer.

Visit one of the bathing places along lake Mjøsa's 40 km long public shoreline.
We recommend Evjua Camping & Strandpark, where you will also find the restaurant Viken II. The area is accessible both by road and boat, as it has an excellent marina.

Panengenstranda has several barbecues that can be used for free, and some very good seating in the form of timber benches. If you fancy an ice cream or a snack, there is an inviting kiosk near the beach. The area has good wheelchair access. It is clean and has toilet facilities.

Other good bathing places around lake Mjøsa include Tallodden, Melkefabrikken and Hekshusstranda Camping, which also has a great play area and a kiosk. All these bathing places are located in Kapp.
