The perfect tour for those who are passionate or curious about quality beer! We will visit Tromsø's historical city centre, two pubs and a beer boutique, sample 10 locally produced beers and Arctic tapas in traditional, cosy settings, which are closely interlinked with the maritime history of Tromsø.
After a short walk through the historical city centre, we will visit Tromsø's oldest pub Ølhallen, where we will sample several of the products of Mack, the world's northernmost brewery.
From there, we will walk along the entire length of Tromsø's bustling main street (~900m), giving us a chance to see a selection of the most important sights our city has to offer, such as the world's northernmost Catholic and Protestant cathedrals, a number of statues, traditional wooden houses, and another local microbrewery. We will even encounter the spot with the highest density of sights in all of Tromsø!
The final stop of our tour will be a traditional local pub, whose atmosphere is reflecting the maritime history of our city. There we are invited to taste further products from Arctic craft breweries, together with a selection of Arctic tapas, such as reindeer carpaccio or cold-smoked salmon.
The timing of this tour is compatible with the schedule of Hurtigruten, as well as most northern light tours.
