The restaurant at Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri is renowned for its kitchen, and its use of fresh and local ingredients. The kitchen team is managed by the twin brothers Ørjan & Arnt Johannessen. They have both made a name for themselves in different arenas of the restaurant business. Ørjan won the gold medal in Bocuse d`Or 2015, and in 2014 Arnt received the award for "Kitchen Manager of the Year" by NKL, here in Norway.
Together with the team in the kitchen, Arnt and Ørjan create the menu each day with one goal in mind: to provide their guests with an unforgettable dining experience.
The nature surrounding Bekkjarvik is wild and generous; the sea provides us with fresh fish, shellfish and other seafood, while the moors and woods are home to deer and wild sheep, both of which are excellent game meat, and of course there is also local herbs and mushrooms.
The restaurant is featured in both "The MICHELIN Guide" and "The White Guide – Nordic".
