Gjøvik – ‘Sjeip-øpp’ exercise trail at Vind
I the forest at Vind, a shape-up trail has been created as part of the public physical activity initiative ‘Friskliv Senior’. This way-marked round-trip of the forest offers suggestions for various exercises, explained with a humorous twist. Exercises are based on what can be used in nature, such as a log as a balance bar, squats by a tree, balance trail on boulders and roots, and similar.
The trail is aimed at all age groups but has extra focus on balance and bone strengthening exercises, which we know is beneficial when we reach a certain age.
The ‘Sjeip-øpp’ trail comprises 8 stations:

This is a great low-intensity activity for anyone in need of exercise and basic strength training!
