Best Arctic - Howl with the Wolves with chances of Northern Lights is our exclusive Northern Light tour, where we offer a unique nature experience, full comfort, and flexibility in one.
Meeting time and place: Best Arctic Hospitality Desk in Scandic Hotel Narvik at 18:45 (6.45pm)
We leave Narvik in the evening to find the Northern Lights. We also have to exclusive possibility to enter the front part of the park to howl with the wolves, after the Polar Park* has closed. Howls are more common at night when the wolves are more active and in certain conditions (you can hear them over 70 square kilometres.) Knowing they are only 200 meters away from us, this could result in a fantastic intimate concert.
We stay warm by serving hot drinks and a hot meal in an authentic indoor wooden hut with a campfire and toilet facilities. If the Northern Lights hit us during our stay at the park, we will enjoy a truly unique moment.
After our visit, we will search further for the Northern Lights along the mountain valleys and fjords in the Narvik area. Although we chase with a spacious, comfortable, and warm bus, we know the safe spots to look for the Northern Lights.
Our enthusiastic guides will tell you more about the wolves, their habits, the Northern Lights, the myths, local stories and traditions. And they are curious about your stories too.
Giving you the utmost comfort and keeping you warm during this Aurora Safari is one of our top priorities. Jump in a thermal winter suit that we provide and warm up with a hot coffee, tea, and sweet snack.
There is a high focus on night-time and Northern Lights photography, so remember to bring your camera. We help you with the settings and you can use a tripod free of charge. A winter or Aurora portrait and other photos are included and will be shared with you the next day so that you can bring your cherished everlasting memories of the Arctic back home.
We have student discounts and youth prices available, and we can accommodate children from 4 years old. Due to comfort and safety reasons, we can't have younger children on this tour.
