Bicycle: Around Hemnessjøen

The route starts at Søndrehallen in Hemnes where you can visit the Aurskog-Høland folk museum with its old farm
buildings.

Søndrehallen, with “Kafeen på Hemnes”, is the village's social and cultural meeting place. Follow the RV 226 past Hemnes Church along Lake Hemnessjøen towards Ydersbotn. The route goes through farmland and has views of the water throughout. At Kollerudvika and Kragtorpvika there are wetland reserves and the chance to see a number of species of birds. From Ydersbotn, the route continues along the RV 123 until you reach the Bingen junction. Here, too, the landscape is characterised by farms and the Kallakmosen wetland area, with several nesting species of birds. On the FV 115 the route turns back towards Hemnes.
