Skåtøy i farta! have 6 new and 10 used bicycles to rent out. If you book via Visit Kragerø booking, the bikes will be ready for you when you arrive. You can also rent bikes for kids, small or medium size.

On your bike it's easy to get to the various points of interest on the island;

Skåtøy Cafe, where you can enjoy a nice meal, art and live music during the high season.
Øytunet where you can stay over (book in advance) or try deicious local pastry by the Eidkil canal through the summer.
Galleri Bak Fasaden, the art gallery that touches each guest with their extensive and varied artwork.
Feltmaker May Hvistendahl invites you to visit her workshop near Korset where you can see (or buy) many different and unique creations.
Catering Solutions, makes/sells pizza and bread at Nødodden.
Playground and obstacle course at Kragerø Skjærgården Montessoriskole (school), behind Skåtøy Cafe.
You can play tennis and football tennis at Mellommyra.
Camping - the 'allemannsretten' law allows you to camp anywhere as long as you're at least 150 metres away from the nearest house or cabin. You are however not allowed to camp on cultivated land.
Skåtøy church (also known as the Skærgård Cathedral) is one of Norways largest wooden churches.

Krikken Coastal Fort was one of the country's largest coastal forts during World War Two. Exploring the remains of the fort is interesting, and there is also a great viewpoint here where you can see the ocean and nearby islands.

Darefjellkollen, right by the bike rental is the highest point on the island, from here you get a fantasic view over 'Skærgården' (the archipelagos). Behind the top of the mountain you wil find the remains of an old dam used for producing and exporting ice.

Eidkilkanalen (the EIdkil canal) is a waterway that splits the island in two. You can cross the canal by bridge.

Øvre Saltbotangen is where the famous Norwegian artist  Theodor Kittilsen lived from 1889 -91, and Plasshytta where he was inspired to create the 'Pesta' character shown is many of his drawings. (Pesta is a personification of the Black Death, and the scary woman living at 'Plasshytta' at the time is who the character was based on).

Korset, at the far end of Skåtøy is an idyllic old fishing village
