Birdwatching Årnestangen, Lake Nordre Øyeren (Parking)

  •  /  km From You
Overview

Årnestangen is a narrow, sandy headland protruding into the vast delta of Northern Øyeren, the largest inland delta in Scandinavia and is of great importance for the region’s wetland birds, particularly as a resting place during migration. Thus, this is one of the best places to spend a day of birding in the Oslo region, yielding a variety of migrant and local species. Park and walk the 3 km along the pastures and marshes of Årnestangen. A birding tower is erected at the tip of the headland.
