Birdwatching Ballangen wetlands (Grunnvatnet, east side)

A watercourse with good populations of many of the wetland species of the region, including Teal, Slavonian Grebe, Black-headed Gull and Wood Sandpiper. A few pairs of Whooper Swan, Black-throated Diver and Red-throated Diver breed annually, possibly Garganey as well. Little Gull has bred at least two times after the turn of the century.
