Bulandet and Værlandet are two groups of islands at the outer coast, interconnected with a network of roads. A ferry crossing connects these islands to the mainland. Grazing pastures and several lush gardens provide feeding opportunities and shelter for resting migrants, and together with the location, makes this one of the best sites for general birding in this part of the country.
