Birdwatching Drevjaleira and Motjønna (Drevjaleira)

  •  /  km From You
Overview

Drevjaleira is a shallow tidal inlet along the Vefsnfjord at the mouth of river Drevja, worth checking if you happen to pass by. The inlet is lined with lush saltmarsh and sheltered pools, surrounded by deciduous forest and cultivated fields, making a nice stopover site for migrant wetland species. Motjønna is a small, nutrition-rich lake further up the Drevja valley, with breeding Slavonian Grebe and several ducks, and with Hazel Grouse in the forest behind the lake.
