The narrow Tjeldsundet sound separates the islands of Lofoten from the mainland and provides a shortcut for waterbirds following the coast. In this sound, the small inlet Trøsen provides an area of shallow waters and mudflats, perfect for ducks and shorebirds. Further up along this river, are two small lakes attractive to dabbling ducks and other wetland birds.
