Fjord Norway Vestland FEDJE

Birdwatching Fedje (ferry-landing Fedje)

  •  /  km From You
Overview

Fedje (pronounced: fehyeh) is the most recognized rarities island near Bergen. It is an extension of Øygarden to the north, 4 km west of the mainland. The island is 7,2 km2, a bit larger than Utsira. The terrain on Fedje is much the same as Øygarden, dominated by rocky heathland, and similarly, the most important bird areas are the gardens, conifer plantations and grazing pastures.
