Birdwatching Finnskogene forest (Gravberget village)

  •  /  km From You
Overview

The roads leading along the border with Sweden is prime habitat for Ural Owl and many other forest species including Grey-headed and Three-toed Woodpeckers, Capercaillie, Hazel and Black Grouse, Hawk Owl and Great Northern Shrike. Ural Owl is a critically endangered species in Norway, and so it is advisable not to go public with the precise location of any observations during breeding season. It is, however, sometimes heard calling even from the village of Gravberget.
