Trøndelag Trøndelag FRØYA

Birdwatching Froan (Sula)

  •  /  km From You

Off the coast of Frøya is Froan, a 50 km long and 10 km broad belt of small islands and skerries. These windbeaten islands are mostly covered in grass, if anything at all. Particularly the area between Vingleia and Halten is considered to be of great importance to breeding seabirds, White-tailed Eagle and Eagle Owl. Sula is one of the most interesting islands in this archipelago, particularly for resting migrants.
