Along the northern part of the Helgeland coast are several archipelagos containing a myriad of small islands. The Arctic Circle runs right across them. Many of the islands here can provide interesting birds, the most famous being Træna and Myken, both proven rarity magnets, Lovund with its large Puffin colony and Solvær with its dense population of Eagle Owls.
