The beaches of Jæren streches all the way from Tungeneset south to Brusand. Seaducks, shorebirds, divers and grebes can be found anywhere along this stretch. And the brush behind the dunes, grazing pastures and occational coniferous plantation, can all hold a variety of resting landbirds. Because Brusand is situated far from the densely populated area around Stavanger in the north, it is amongst the least regularly birdwatched areas of Jæren.
