Viksfjorden is a 7 km long side-arm to Larviksfjorden. The innermost part is called Klåstadkilen and is a shallow inlet, lined with reeds and surrounded by farmland on all sides. Mud flats are exposed during low tide, making suitable conditions for a variety of shorebirds, ducks, rails and more.
