Birdwatching Lake Gjølsjøen (Southern tower hide)

Overview

A medium sized, narrow and long, nutrient-rich lake situated in this agricultural region with patches of mixed woodland. Two tower hides are located at different locations. Lake Gjølsjøen is partly overgrown, and is a good place for resting ducks, Cranes and other waterbirds, including nocturnal songbirds. Osperey, Hobby and Honey-buzzard breed nearby. The surrounding woodlands hold many other species, including Black Grouse and Three-toed Woodpecker.
