Skinnerflo is a shallow lake, sometimes with exposed mud banks near one of the inlet river mouths. The inlet is lined with a 2.5 km long and 100 meters broad reed bed. This is an important site for resting waterbirds and is also a highly recommended stop on nocturnal song bird trips.
