Birdwatching Litlvatnet and Smidalen (parking Litlvatnet)

  •  /  km From You

Litlvatnet is a small and shallow, nutrient-rich lake surrounded by deciduous forest and cultivated land close to the important Ørland wetland system. Sedge Warbler is common and so are Wigeon, Teal and several other species of duck. Garganey and Shoveler may breed and Coot has done so in the past. Substantial numbers of Whooper Swan may rest during migration in spring and late autumn.
