  •  /  km From You

The inner Varanger fjord, and particularly the northern shoreline, is one of the prime birdwhatching areas in Norway. It is also concidered among the most exotic in Europe. Every year, hundreds of birdwatchers visit the area, mainly Norwegians and Finns. The entire Varanger fjord is the largest fjord in Norway in terms of area, the mouth being 55 km across from Vardø to the Russian Rybachy Peninsula (Fiskerhalvøya).
