Northern Norway Lofoten Værøy

Birdwatching Værøy (ferry landing)

  •  /  km From You

Værøy is a high and isolated island in Lofoten, 15 km from Moskenes and 20 km from Røst. It is actually an archipelago, the main island being almost 10 km long at the most and dominated by a massive mountain rising 450 metres above the sea. Several small islands and skerries are found to the northeast and among them is also a larger, uninhabited island, Mosken, 2 km across.
