Valdresflya is a barren mountain plateau well above the tree line at an elevation of about 1400 metres. Morain slopes and gently rolling hills is in stark contrast to the magnificent peaks and precipitous cliffs in neighbouring Jotunheimen to the west. The plateau may seem quiet at first, but it is actually home to just about all the mountain species of Southern Norway, including Long-tailed Skua, Dotterel and Lapland Bunting.
