By the southern part of Bjørkedalen you'll find the old post route "Den Gamle Postveien", that was constructed on royal command during the 1700s. You can follow this lovely road past Gullbrekka to Medvatnet Water and Olavskjelda Fountain, and all the way to the cross that is a monument to remember the king Holy Olav.
