Bjørkestølen is a 4-star all-year campground in Valdres close to Golsfjellet. It is beautifully located in Tisleidalen on the shore of Tisleia River at 800 m above sea level, along road 51 between Fagernes and Gol. The sites are large and sunny and are equipped with new 16A-power poles, cable TV and free Wifi.
On site you will also find the newly refurbished café and bistro - Stølskroa where we serve food both in- and outdoors. We have all rights.
Bjørkestølen is a very child-friendly campground.
There are several barbeque places around the campground and a large dam where our guests can fish trout for free. There are also pedal boats for rent.
In 2018 we built new kitchen facilities with all the equipment you need to cook a lovely meal. There's a dishwasher that is free of use and a washing room with washing machine. The service facilities include two new spacious family rooms.
Tisleidalen is an eldorado for nature lovers - whether you like to fish, cycle or go for a hike. The area holds a well of trails, cross-country skiing tracks, cycling routes and the great trout river Tisleia that runs right past the campground.
