In 1952, A/S Lerum juice factory received its first car. The Ford V8 was the start of Bjarne Lerum's interest in cars. Until his death in 2010, Bjarne collected and restored cars, and this collection today forms the Bjarne Lerum Bilmuseum (Car Museum) in Kaupanger.
Welcome to Bjarne Lerums Bilmuseum (Car Museum) in Kaupanger.
Here you will find a personal collection of classic cars, plenty of Nostalgia and stories connected to bath the vehicles and the local area. The museum has a special focus on Mercedes models, including rare cars that are not often seen today.
Many of the vehicles have been restored and cared for over the years through genuine interest, patience and a real passion for older cars. This is not a large modern museum, but a place built through enthusiasm, dedication and love for automotive history.
A welcoming stop for car enthusiasts, families and travellers looking to experience something genuine and a little different while visiting Western Norway this summer.
Open every day in July, except Friday, July 10 from 11:00 - 17:00 and open until August 14.
