Blue Light Cruise around the Isle of Tromsø

This tour is conducted by Sørøya Havfiskecruise. Sørøya Havfiskecruise has been operating since 2006 and we can proudly introduce ourselves as pioneers of winter tourism by boat in Tromsø. We are a local North Norwegian Company with local skippers and crew.

Norwegian local skippers and crew with years of experience, makes this a memorable, safe and comfortable trip. We use our solid and cozy catamaran MB Havcruise. In the winter time the owners live on board themselves. A maximum of 12 guests per trip provides a social and a cozy atmosphere. One does not need to fight for the views.

This is a two hours trip from 13:30-15:30 It goes around the beautiful isle of Tromsø. Due to the weather we might change the route to other wonderful places. This is mainly thought to enjoy the bright winter colors and scenery of our Arctic winter landscape.From about 21 November to 21 January, it is dark time here in the north. We also call it the blue light season. This trip is added to a time of day when the intense blue light comes out especially well. Sometimes we see porpoises, white -beaked dolphins, seals, eagles and other seabirds. We often tell local stories, and are open to questions about the city and other things.

We serve hot drinks and homemade cakes on this trip.

We are very serious when it comes to safety. Yearly check on equipment and boat on an authorized ship yard. All our passengers are well insured on board.

We follow all advices from the Norwegian Directorate of Health regarding the corona pandemic. We clean all equipment daily and after each trip. All cancellations due to the corona situation will be fully refunded. Guests who have symptoms of corona will be asked to leave the boat before arrival

Departure time and place: 1:30pm (13:30) at the floating pier by Scandic Ishavshotel. Meeting point at our red and white catamaran MB Havcruise 15 minutes before departure. We recommend you to look for the boat in good time. We are not able to wait more than 10 minutes.
