Join us on this amazing experience where we go crab fishing and then use the catch to cook a delicious dinner outdoors.
Come with us and explore the shoreline, learn how to catch the local crabs, how to cook them and make some really nice dishes. You will also see, explore and learn much more about sea life and nature.
The tour starts outside the Tourist Information in Bergen, where we pick you up and drive to the local Islet Syltøy in Øygarden. The drive takes around 40 minutes and offers scenic views.
At our base at Syltøy we will get dressed in appropriate clothing according to the weather, including life jackets. We always start with a safety brief before we board our open 28 feet boat. We're now ready to go crab fishing for 1,5 hours. We will return with our catch to our base.
Inside our historic and cozy boat house we will cook the crabs together, using sea water. When they're done we will enjoy crab with bread, mayonnaise, and lime. We also provide you with some starters made of hand picked schrimps and other treats found along the shoreline.
This tour is a taste, smell, and nature exploring experience. All done in a safe way with respect for the nature and using humane fishing methods. You will also learn you how to cook the crab in a human way.
This tour is suitable from 8 years and upwards.
The guide will meet you outside the entrance to the Tourist Information at 14:30. We return to the same place around 19:30.
The tour can be booked at the Tourist Information in Bergen, latest 20:30 the day before.

If you cancel within 48 hours of the departure, you will receive a full refund. In case of cancellation less than 48 hours before the departure of the tour, no refund will be given.
