Isfjord Radio Adventure Hotel is situated at the edge of the west coast, on the windswept grounds of Kapp Linné. This is the place to travel if you want to experience the true wilderness of Svalbard. The trip includes homemade lunch and visit to Barentsburg.

Meet your guide for the day in your hotel reception at 8AM. From here we continue to the harbour to find your vessel for the day, ISFJORD-EKSPRESSEN. Get comfortable in your seat and enjoy the beautiful view as we ride across the fjord. Keep your eyes open for the rich wildlife in the summer, such as Arctic bird species, walruses, seals, beluga or even larger whale species. On a lucky day you may also see a polar bear swimming in the water.

We are heading westwards with a steady course until we meet our first sights of the day. The bird cliff named “Fuglefjellet” and the former Russian mining settlement; Grumant. The journey continues to Barentsburg which still is an operative mining town housing around 400 inhabitants. Did you know that the only cat on Svalbard is to be found in Barentsburg?

270 steps will lead you from the harbour to the city centre, where we dedicate two hours to see the town before continuing to Isfjord Radio Adventure Hotel. After hours of exploring we are warmly welcomed by the hosts at Isfjord Radio and a homemade lunch awaits. This old radio station has been converted into a boutique hotel, and it holds a unique full-service kitchen far out in Svalbard's wilderness. This is the pristine home of walrus, arctic fox, reindeer and polar bears, and you are welcome to explore with us.

Included
- Boat trip from Longyearbyen to Barentsburg and Isfjord Radio
- 2-course lunch at Isfjord Radio Adventure Hotel, coffee and tea
- Station walk and storytelling
- Transport between your hotel and the harbour in Longyearbyen

Note
Weather conditions in Svalbard can be unpredictable. We can experience strong winds and rough seas in the summertime, which means that we may have to make changes to the planned program. We will always do our utmost to give you a wonderful experience in the Arctic, and at the same time we must be aware of the characteristics of the destination.
