Bøverdalen Veksthågå is a small market garden in Lom that grows locally produced, unsprayed vegetables and cut flowers for local sale. In season, the vegetables are available for sale through the local food shop Smak i Lom, and at times through a self-service farm stand.

Bøverdalen Veksthågå also supplies goods to local businesses and restaurants.

The market garden had its first production year in 2022—on an area where a kitchen garden has been run for several generations, both for self-sufficiency and for sale. Ingvild Visdal Aukrust is the general manager, and she herself grew up on the farm, Sygard Aukrust.

Bøverdalen Veksthågå grows vegetables in open fields and raises all the plants themselves. The goal is to deliver local raw ingredients of high quality, and not least to help increase local food production. Growing many different varieties is part of running a market garden. Some of what is grown includes sugar snap peas, lettuce, carrots, rutabaga, cauliflower, zucchini, and onions, and many more!

Bøverdalen Veksthågå does not use pesticides or artificial fertilizer on the vegetables, and for the most part uses Norwegian-produced seeds and raises seedlings themselves.

Bøverdalen Veksthågå grows cut flowers for local delivery, as well as floral arrangements for weddings.

Self-service farm stand:
Some days during summer, you can buy fresh vegetables through a self-service farm stand. It is located in the driveway by the market garden (Kvålsvegen 12, 2686 Lom).
