The mighty Briksdal Glacier is part of the Jostedal Glacier national park. From a height of 1200 metres the wild glacier drops right down into the narrow, fertile Briksdalen – a sight which attracts 300,000 visitors from all over the world every year.

Follow the trail to see how the Briksdal Glacier has formed the Olden Valley over numerous ice ages. See first-hand the smoothly ground mountainsides and luxuriant vegetation on the valley floor. You'll be surprised at the wide variety of beautiful flowers growing there! Handy to have: The informative booklet "Briksdal Natursti, ei vandring i geologien, glasiologien og botanikken" (Briksdal nature trail, a ramble in geology, glaciology and botany), on sale in the Souvenir Shop.
