Brimi Sæter is a living mountain summer farm at Tesse in Lom - where old summer-farm traditions are kept alive in historic log buildings. Experience cheesemaking, animal life, and the signature menu “Skråpå‑tå”.

Brimi Sæter offers unique mountain pasture experiences by Lake Tesse, located 870 meters above sea level in Lom. Here you can enjoy homemade food, get to know the farm animals, and see how milk is turned into cheese.

“Skråpå-tå” is a very special dining experience, where you’re served house-made mountain pasture cheese that you melt on handmade tabletop grills around long tables in the barn. Along with the food, you get cultural storytelling, fiddle music, and traditional herding songs, creating a social and atmospheric setting.

At Brimi Sæter you can stay overnight in historic pasture houses, on log-built sleeping platforms in the barn, or in a lavvu, and enjoy local food made from their own ingredients. In summer, a mountain pasture café is open, with local food for sale.

The pasture is open from spring to autumn with activities such as hiking, cycling, and cultural events—and selected weekends with Christmas dinners during Advent.

The nature around the pasture invites both short and long outings: swimming at Tesse, walks in Brimiskogen, and hikes over Veslvassfjellet or to Steinbue. Brimi Sæter is also surrounded by Jotunheimen’s high mountains and beautiful glaciers—which you can reach on day trips from the pasture.
