Bruserud is located in an idyllic area just 200m from the Bø river. There is a large smooth rock you can swim from, and you can also fish and barbecue by the water on quiet summer evenings. You can also borrow our canoe and go paddling to see the beavers on the water. The house (formerly the older generation’s house) sleeps 6 people comfortably. It is about 90m2 and has two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and bathroom (heated floor). The house is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, and TV. The house is surrounded by a large, family-friendly farmyard with plenty of space where we grow herbs, vegetables, potatoes, and strawberries. There are also free range chickens walking about in the summer, and we also have rabbits and cats. The hosts at Bruserud, Ingrid and Bård, are a young couple who recently accomplished their dream of owning a small farm. It has been a long time since the lowing of cows has been heard on this farm, but since the farm was bought in 2008, animals have slowly been acquired and the land turned to vegetable farming. The barn, which had formerly been filled with hay, now is used as a simple tavern which can hold about 50 people. From here it’s just a short trip to Bø Sommarland and the Telemark Canal.
